Man Allegedly Tried to Mow Down Partner with Car. Instead, He Killed Another Woman: Police

The HPD said in the statement that George has been charged with murder and assault on a family member.

Police initially responded to the scene at 3 a.m. after a reported auto-pedestrian crash at an intersection near the nightclub address.

“An initial investigation, evidence from the scene, and witness statements determined a male suspect got into a physical altercation with a woman, 24, before attempting to intentionally strike her with his vehicle,” HPD’s statement read. The unidentified 24-year-old woman was not seriously injured, per police.

“The suspect’s vehicle struck another woman and he fled on foot,” the HPD statement alleged.

The victim was a 41-year-old woman. George was treated at a local hospital before being taken into police custody, the statement said.
