The music star, 34 recently went onCosmopolitan’s Cheap Shot seriesand in her episode further addressed the rumors around thesartorial accidentshe had back in July.

In case you missed it, the Grammy winner went viral forher performanceatWillie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic concert because of her outfit. She wore a maxi denim skirt with a crotch-reaching slit, which many believed revealed her nether regions.

“Yeah, against my will, a video circulated recently of me wearing a denim skirt with a giant slit in it. I was wearing underwear. It was nude underwear, but it looked like my whole vagina was out,” she said in the Aug. 19 video.

Morris also shut down the idea that the whole thing was a “publicity stunt” because she never meant for it to happen.

“Actually, before I put that skirt on, I had another wardrobe malfunction with a skirt before it. So the denim skirt was, like, my backup option. I was like, ‘I have to be sure to wear underwear with this.’ I wish I’d worn, like, dayglo underwear so people would definitely know I had it on. But you live and you learn,” she said.

The “Middle” singer had to admit though that the moment was “a little bit iconic” and she jokingly suggested that she might have the skirt framed in her home if not in some kind of Hall of Fame.

More than a week after videos of her went Internet-wide, Morris posted aTikTok videononchalantly addressing the incident.

In the comment section, she wrote that nothing, not even a little fashion slip-up, could embarrass her anymore because she’s already “given birth.” Morris welcomedson Hayes, 4, with ex-husbandRyan Hurdin March 2020.
