Mark Wahlberg’s Las Vegas restaurant recovered from a large fire on its patio.
A spokesperson forFlecha Cantinatells PEOPLE that a fire started on Nov. 6 after “a defective fire pit caught fire on the bottom of it.”
“The fire crew came and put it out right away,” said the spokesperson. “No damage at all in the interior restaurant. The only damage was the fire pit and the chair next to it. Thankfully no one was injured.”
The fire occurred the night before Wahlberg is expected to celebrate a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 7, three weeks after the restaurant opened on Sept. 14. The event is continuing as planned, PEOPLE confirms.
The fire had not reached the interior of the building, the fire department confirmed, and appeared to be limited to a lone propane fire table — a flat, outdoor fire pit. According to surveillance footage, the fire started from the inner workings of the fire table itself.
Firefighters were able to decrease the fire enough so the propane tanks that were fueling the fire table could be shut off.
The Flecha spokesperson confirmed that “the fire sprinkler company came back out and recharged the system and the restaurant was back open at 7pm.”
The Las Vegas restaurant is “a fusion of traditional Mexican flavors with innovative twists,” according to a press release. It follows the success of Flecha in Huntington Beach, Calif., which recentlyopened on June 8.

“It’s a place where my kids can thrive and do their thing and pursue their interests,” Wahlbergtold PEOPLEin March. “To be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams — whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer — this made a lot more sense for us.”
