Megan Thee Stallion Radiates 'Dark, Feminine Energy' in a Glam Gown at the 2024 MTV VMAs Red Carpet

Megan Thee Stallionis done with being humble.

Ahead of the ceremony, the rapper exclusively told PEOPLE that she would have500 outfit changes. Even if she doesn’t come close to that number, she made an unforgettable statement with her initial look, which she accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz bangles, earrings and rings, plus her hair in a banged bob.

“I just wanted to give hot girl summer, but glam but a little dark beauty. I feel like I’m giving a little dark feminine energy,” the star said on the red carpet before she headed in to host the show.

Not only is Megan also performing, but she’s up for five nominations, among them, best collaboration for “Wanna Be” withGloRillaand best hip-hop, best visual effects, best direction and best art direction all for “Boa.”

Megan’s awards show style moments are always as memorable as her performances (who else could hatch out of a snake egg?), andwins.

On June 30, she opened the 2024 BET Awards (as she emerged from the aforementioned egg) in agold latex thong bodysuitwith a bustier bra and calf-high vinyl boots. And while she didn’t attend the Grammys this year back in February, she did show up in full-glam (read: a wet hair look and a silky cutout dress) at a star-studded pre-Grammys gala.

Pulling off multiple ensembles isn’t the only thing Megan is excited for when it comes to tonight’s event.

“I love New York, I can’t wait to be there again and eat all the food, and I’m excited for people to see what I bring to the table while hosting,” she told PEOPLE.
