One mom’s special night for her kids has gone viral as they slayed their take on one of the most popular shows on Netflix.

Maribel, on TikTok @mamauniversitaria2.0, recently threw an unforgettable theme party for her family. The mom tells PEOPLE that during some time off with her adult children, they watched the third season ofBridgerton, as well as the prequelQueen Charlotte, and became obsessed with the little details of the era.

“We would all be together. My kids loved the idea! I began to visualize what it would look like and organize everything I needed to surprise them and celebrate their return home.”

The special night was an opportunity for the family to make memories together, something they have long prioritized.

“We always celebrate birthdays and other major holidays and occasions together, but any excuse is a good one to get together and share a meal,” she says.

The family night consisted of Maribel and her husband, their children, Mario and Marta, their nephews and their partners, plus a family friend.

“It was a very fun dinner! Organizing the menu didn’t take me long, though I did change it many times,” Maribel explains.

“I knew it had to be something delicious, but also simple and easy to prepare. We started off with mini cucumber sandwiches as a fresh and light appetizer. We also had stuffed puff pastry bites, sausages, cheese, fruits and pâté to kick off the night.”

The family finished off with “prepared individual cheese flans.”

The menu was a labor of love, but the real fun for Maribel came from getting the décor together. In the spirit of celebrating without breaking the bank, she relied on Temu for a lot of her picks.

“It was clear that gold had to be the main character of the night to give the dinner that sophisticated and elegant touch; the gold silverware is one of my favorite details,” she shares. “The gold dishes we used for serving and presenting the appetizers made the table look beautiful and refined. Another detail I loved was the pearl napkin rings; they were spectacular!”

Maribel documented the process, not expecting her little family get-together would go viral.

“When you’re creating and posting content on social media, you never know what’s going to happen. Sometimes you’ve worked hard on a video and it doesn’t have the reach or impact you were hoping for. I was hoping that the videos would get some views and likes, but the result was far greater than I expected,” she says.

The “warm atmosphere” made for the perfect family night.

“The best part of the night was seeing my family so excited and having so much fun,” she continues. “It’s these little moments together as a family that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.”
