On Monday, Oct. 28, the actress, 43, showed off her new chic haircut at the 68th Ballon D’Or Ceremony at Theatre Du Chatelet in Paris.

Portman bid adieu to her brown-blonde long locks for a short bob with a dark brown hue for the chilly fall-winter season.

The Marvel alum hit the red carpet with new hairdo and a navy blue velvet gown. The dress featured a low v-neckline and a braided belt made of the same fabric. She accessorized with minimal jewelry, opting to wear just a few silver rings on one of her hands.

Portman wore a glam makeup look for the occasion with dramatic brown eye shadow, dark blush and a dark pink lipstick.

Her makeup artist Miwoo Kim shared a behind-the-scenes clip on herInstagram Storiesof the actress on the red carpet, which showed the low back of her dress.

TheMay Decemberstar later shared a photo onInstagramof herself with soccer player Aitana Bonmatí from the evening.

“Hero 🙌 Congratulations Aitana Bonmatí on your Ballon d’Or award! It was such an honor to be there with you and to celebrate all you’ve done for women’s football,” she captioned the post.

Prior to the post, Portman shared aphotoof herself with animal advocateJane Goodall, in which she had light brown colored hair that fell slightly below her shoulders and was tied back into a braid.

They were both pictured in white T-shirts, which Portman rocked with a pair of blue jeans, while theNormal Peopleactor tucked his shirt into dark trousers.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE that Portman and Mescal are just friends. The sighting occurred several months after they participated inVariety’s “Actors on Actors” series together to promote their respective movies.

Portman shared the conversation to herInstagram, calling the actor “the one and only Paul Mescal.”
