Olivia Munn and John Mulaney Have the Sweetest Date Night as He Presents Her with InStyle Imagemaker Award

Olivia Munnand John Mulaney had a special night atInStyle’s inaugural Imagemaker Awards.

On Oct. 24, the“X-Men: Apocalypse” actresswas honored with the Woman of Impact Award — which is bestowed on a celebrity that uses their platform “to bring attention to a cause close to their heart and create lasting change,” InStyle wrote in the awards announcement.

Mulaney came along as Munn’s date for her big night, with the two dressing in classic black eveningwear.

Munn wore a black floor-length slip dress that dipped low in the lack, while Mulaney opted for a black suit and tie with a white button-down.

When it came time for Munn’s award, Mulaney took to the stage to present it to her.

InStyle’s event also showcased impactful designers, stylists, makeup artists, hairstylists and other industry professionals charged with crafting creative and innovative looks. Also in attendance was stars including Kristen Stewart, Lisa Rinna, Colman Domingo, Chrissy Teigen and more.

In April 2023, Munnreceived a luminal B breast cancer diagnosis— a particularly fast-moving disease — in both breasts. She had to halt plans to shoot in a film and instead prepare for a slew of taxing procedures and surgeries, including a double mastectomy and medically induced menopause.

Although the process was “terrifying,” Munn found a silver lining in sharing her story. She demystified the process to spread awareness and fostered a community for others making difficult decisions about their health, which earned her the Woman of Impact Award. In its awards announcement, InStyle called the actress “a pillar of strength.”

This week, Munnposed for SKIMSand showed off her mastectomy scars for the first time. The campaign will help raise money for the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation.

“I felt a sense of freedom,” Munn toldTodayupon the campaign’s release. “It’s a part of my journey that had been hidden, so sharing it felt liberating.”
