Omar Apollo Says He'd 'Emulate' His Music Videos forQueerSex Scenes with Daniel Craig (Exclusive)

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at the premiere ofQueerin Los Angeles on Nov. 13, the singer, 27, opened up about how he would channel his music videos while filming romantic scenes withDaniel Craig.

When asked how he made his sex scenes feel authentic with Craig, 56, since it was the pair’s first time working together, Apollo admitted, “Well, I’ve shot music videos before for my music, so I just tried to emulate that feeling.”

“There wasn’t really much nerves, it was a very calm set,” the Grammy-nominated artist continued of theLuca Guadagnino-directed project. “Everyone is super talented.”

“I trusted everyone around me so that really eased all of my anxieties around shooting,” Apollo added.

Speaking about makingQueerhis film debut, Apollo told PEOPLE, “It just presented itself to me and I was like, ‘Of course.’ "

“I didn’t not want to do it,” added the “Done with You” musician. “It was great, and it’s cool that it’s my first role ever.”
