Patrick Mahomes Calls Burglary at His Kansas City-Area Home 'Frustrating' and 'Disappointing'

Patrick Mahomesis speaking out for the first time about the burglary to his Kansas City-area home last month.

At the team’s media availability on Wednesday, Nov. 13, the NFL star, 29, addressed the incident but was tight-lipped about details regarding the crime, which occurred at his Belton, Missouri home around midnight on Sunday, Oct. 6.

“Obviously, it’s frustrating, disappointing but I can’t get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing,” Mahomes said.

The Chiefs quarterback added that it was “something you don’t want to happen to really anybody.”

When asked if he or his family — including wifeBrittany, daughterSterling, 3, and sonBronze, 23 months — were at home during the event, Mahomes said he couldn’t speak to those details, but that “at some point” it would be “talked about.”

The crime happened less than 24 hours before the Chiefs took on the New Orleans Saints for aMonday Night Footballgame at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

There were no signs of forced entry to the home, according to the police report.

In that break-in, Leawood Police reported that $20,000 was taken and a rear door was broken.

Patrick and Brittany bought the parcel of land where they built their “dream home” in September 2020, according toArchitectural Digest. During the summer of 2023, the Mahomes family moved into the compound, which is about a half-hour’s drive from Kansas City.

In addition to the residence, it features a 50-yard-football field custom-stamped with Mahomes’ logo, a pool with a swim-up bar and par-3 golf hole.
