Patrick Mahomes Says Taylor Swift Has Already Started 'Drawing Up Plays' for the Kansas City Chiefs

Taylor Swiftis getting stuck in when it comes to cheering on her boyfriendTravis KelceatKansas City Chiefsgames!

While speaking to Chris Simms for a newNFL on NBCinterview that aired on Thursday, Aug. 29, Kelce’s teammate and close friendPatrick Mahomes, 28, praised Swift, 34, once again, and explained she’s genuinely “interested” in the sport.

The “Love Story” singerattended her first Chiefs gameagainst the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24, 2023 when she and Kelce, 34,first sparked dating rumors.

“Meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is… that’s been special to me, because like you said [she’s] the most famous person in the world,” Mahomestold Simms.

“She’s really interested in football, she asks a lot of great questions. She’s already drawing up plays so we might have to put one in,” the quarterback revealed.

While discussing whether the attention surrounding him and the Chiefs “went up to another level” onceSwift showed an interest in the sport, Mahomes responded, “I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football.”

“I know being a girl dad how cool it is for me… to see these little girls, these daughters and how much they’re loving spending time with their dad watching football,” the athlete continued.

This definitely isn’t the first time Mahomes, whoattended Swift’s Eras Tour showwith Brittany and Kelce in Amsterdam in July, has shared his appreciation for the pop superstar.

In aDecember 2023 interview withCBS Mornings, the three-time Super Bowl winner said, “She’s top-tier at her profession, and to see how she drives and she becomes that — Dude, it’s really cool to hear about and to see, and now I have a first-hand look at that through Brittany and Travis’ eyes," referencing his wife’s friendship with Swift and his teammate’s relationship with the singer.

Mahomes revealed that when Swift and Kelce first began dating, “everybody stayed away” and “just let [Kelce] do what he was doing.”

“Then, he started bringing Taylor around, and he realized how cool of a person she was, and she is, and so for us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning,” he added at the time.

“She’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom,” Mahomes said. “And she’s part of the team.”
