Rachel Zoe Has Iconic Response to Rift with Ex-Assistant Brad Goreski: 'I Don't Think About It, Truthfully' (Exclusive)

Rachel Zoeis opening up about her fall out withBrad Goreski.

While celebrating Nicky Hilton’s holiday collection clothing brand Rebecca Vallance, the 53-year-old fashion designer shared that she and her former assistant no longer speak.

“I just, honestly, I don’t talk to him,” Zoe told PEOPLE at the Saturday, Oct. 5 event, which took place at Rick and Kathy Hilton’s Los Angeles home. “There is no…I don’t think about it. Truthfully.”

When asked if anyone else from her past has offered support since herrecent split from husband Rodger Berman, Zoe replied, “There isn’t anybody who has not.”

TheRachel Zoe Projectalum added, “Here’s the thing, as you get older, you get to pick and choose who you want in your life. And anyone who is toxic is out. And it’s like there’s only so much time and I barely have any. So anyone that I’m spending my time with, they’re good people and they’re worth it.”

Goreski, 47, left his post as Zoe’s assistant at her Rachel Zoe Inc. brand in 2010. At the time, both parties said they parted ways amicably.

In a 2011 episode of hisBravoseriesIt’s a Brad, Brad World, Goreski was askedwhy the two no longer spoke. The stylist responded that he had “an idea” but thought “those reasons [were] unjust.”

“I think I have conducted myself with honesty, with dignity and with grace,” he continued. “And I will continue to do so no matter what is said about me.”

In September 2011 interview withNew Yorkmagazine’s The Cut, Zoe alleged that Goreski “started to pursue our clients, started going to all these events, and doing all the things he said he had no interest in” within a week of leaving her company.

The fashion mogul said that Goreski told her he wanted to put a pause on his styling career and spend more time with his boyfriend and dog.

“It’s not the first time I’ve been used. I would say it’s going to be the last time, though,” Zoe added to The Cut.

“Is it uncomfortable to see him at events when you’re out or is it all [in the] past?” asked Cohen, 56,to which Zoe replied, “I don’t see him.”

“Isn’t it, like, professional?” fellow guestMindy Kalingasked. Zoe replied, “People should be professional. They should.”
