Ree Drummond's Daughter Alex Gives a Tour of Her Christmas-Decorated Home and Reveals the Decor They 'Disagree On'

Ree Drummond’s daughterAlex Drummond Scottand her husband Mauricio Scott are giving fans afirst lookat their Dallas home now that it’s ready for Christmas.

“When I was growing up, all the traditions made our childhood so special,” Alex said. “It’ll be fun once we have our daughter to see what traditions evolve.”

For now, they introduced some personalized stockings and a Nativity scene to their home. The couple also added wreaths to each of their windows — with one on their front door that they dressed up with some red wired ribbon.

Their living room is complete with a banister garland from Balsam Hill on their staircase, Christmas throw pillows from Grandin Road and Arcadia Home, and of course, a Christmas tree.

“We’ll make hot cocoa or soup, put on aHome Alonemovie and have a cozy night in," Alex said of making traditions in their living room.

Alex and Mauricio first picked up their Nativity set from Pottery Barn the year they moved in together. The pair were drawn to the piece’s “modern take” due to its simplicity, and it having “all the components” they wanted.

As for the Christmas tree, Alex revealed that she and her mom don’t necessarily agree on that front.“My parents are very much pro real tree, so they kind of give us a hard time for having a fake one,” Alex said. “Once we have kids, we’ll probably make the switch — it’s a fun experience to pick out a tree and chop it down. But for now the ease of an artificial tree is hard to resist!"

The home’s kitchen also features subtle touches of red and white just in time for the holidays. There, the couple get into the holiday spirit through their cooking.

Alex told the magazine that she’s continuing Ree’s tradition of baking cinnamon rolls and delivering them to family and friends, with her pup, George, always on hand to grab some scraps.

Among the seasonal items in their home are a red Wayfair metal bow, a bone-print Christmas stocking for George from Arcadia Home, a Ticking Stripe Rug from Rugs USA, a Merry Christmas door mat from Frontgate and the Terracotta Nativity Set from Pottery Barn.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Drummond household without some Pioneer Woman products, including both the Pioneer Woman Ornament Cookie Jar and the Pioneer Woman Timeless Beauty Dutch Oven.

“Yesterday was everything I could ever dream of celebrating our Sofia Marie. 🥹💕,” she captioned the post, shared on Sunday, Oct. 20. “Praise the Lord for these wonderful women and so many more!”
