Reese Witherspoon Celebrates Her Mom Betty's Birthday: ‘The Most Amazing Mama in the World’

Reese Witherspoonis celebrating her mom’s birthday!

On Sunday, Aug. 18, the actress, 48, posted a sweet birthday tribute to her momBettyin celebration of her special day onInstagram.

“Happy birthday to the most amazing Mama in the world!” Witherspoon wrote in the caption. “You bring so much sunshine into my life. ☀️💫 Thank you for always believing in me and cheering me on. I love you! 💞.”

Alongside her message, the actress shared photos of herself and Betty taken at restaurants on two separate occasions.

In the first shot, Witherspoon sported a headband that read, “It’s My Birthday” from her own celebrations back in March, as she sat beside her mom. A following photo showed the pair sporting identical smiles as they posed for the camera at a café.

Witherspoonresharedthe post on her Instagram Stories, where she added a sparkling purple graphic over the top that read, “Happy Birthday" — plus an animated hat and cake.

The Morning Showstar’s birthday tribute comes after she paid homage to Betty in a Mother’s Day post in May.

Sharing more photos of her mother with her children and some family members at the time, Witherspoon wrote, “Every day with you is a gift @grandma_busybetty 💗☀️🤗Happy Mother’s Day, Mama! 💐.”

In August 2023, the actress praised Betty in another birthdaypost, writing, “Happy Birthday to the best mom I could ever dream of Thank you for always believing in my dreams and cheering me on… and making me Laugh everyday [sic]. I love you, Mama! 💗🌸🤗.”

Witherspoon is very close to her mom Betty, and she regularly updates fans on how she’s doing on social media as she spends time with her and herchildren: daughter Ava, 24, and sons Deacon, 20, and Tennessee, 11.
