Savannah Guthrie Praises Hoda Kotb in Sweet Tribute for Her 60th Birthday: 'I Love You and Admire You'

Savannah Guthrienever misses a chance to showHoda Kotbsome love — especially not on her birthday!

Guthrie, 52, took toInstagramon Friday, Aug. 9, to celebrate herTodayco-host and close friend, who turned 60. In a lengthy caption, Guthrie shared some of her favorite things about Kotb.

“Happy birthday to the one who brings a smile to every person she encounters, who is quick with a hug, whose giggle is infectious, who cheerleads for others relentlessly,” she wrote. “To the one whose mere presence immediately changes the atmosphere for the better … I love you and admire you and treasure every minute we get to spend together.”

“This is 60, you beautiful creature you!” her post concluded, alongside a photo of the two laughing as they sat at the anchor desk together.

Earlier in the day, Kotb revealed how she was spending her big day withtwo posts on social media. “Great bday morning!! Lucky me xoxoxo,” she captioned a series of images of her opening gifts with daughtersHaley, 7, and Hope, 4.

In the background, homemade drawings and decorations could be seen around the house.

“Ummmmm 60 rocks!” she wrote.

Maria Shriveralso left a note: “Happy happy Mr [sic] friend sending you boat loads of love ❤️”

ABC’sDeborah Robertsexpressed some birthday wishes as well. “Happy birthday dear Hoda. Getting better with each day!! ❤️🎉,” she said.

Just days prior, Kotbarrived home from Parisafter covering the2024 Summer Olympicsand being away from her family. In a heartwarmingvideo, the anchor can be seen unlocking the door as her girls run toward her jumping up and down.

“Mommy I need a hug!” one of the girls shouted.

Before Kotb even made it through the door, Haley made it to her first and gave her a big hug. Hope, who was dressed in a Spiderman costume, got to her next, eager to show her mom a new water bottle.

“Home❤️,” she captioned it, which Guthrie commented under: “where the heart is ❤️”
