I’ve been doing months of press with all of my amazing cast and crew, and then Jacques laughed at one of our last ones and said, ‘I don’t know why you say that you auditioned and waited. You had the part,'” recalled Gomez. “And so from now on, I just look at him, and I’m like, ‘I spent nine months in hell waiting to know if I got in this movie.“Gomez has long been open abouther admiration for Streep. Earlier this month the star recalled her first day on theOnly Murdersset with the icon, saying, “I’ll never forget her being barefoot, singing on set, just loving what she’s doing.““I want that spirit, I want to always love what I do and be there for people,” added Gomez.
