Shop Worker Reunited with Engagement Ring After It Got Lost in Customer’s Bag: ‘Restored My Faith in Humanity’

Morganne Moreno says she is “so relieved” to be reunited with her engagement ring

A relieved woman has been reunited with her lost engagement ring after it was found in a customer’s bag from the shop she works at.

According to theBBC, Morganne Moreno was working on the cash register at Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen in Cowbridge, Wales when her ring disappeared.

Theinitial post, which was shared over 1,700 times, read, “If you shopped with us today, please check your shopping bags - a team member has lost her engagement ring.”

It was then updated with the caption, “🙌 Ring Found 🙌 A big thank you to everyone who shared the post 💜.”

Moreno — who got engaged to her fiancé Josh in March — told the BBC that her “heart went to my stomach” when she realized her ring was missing from her finger.

“Every thought went through my mind, but somehow I just knew it had gone into a customer’s bag,” she said.

The bride-to-be then searched for the item in the shop and asked her colleague if she could post a plea on the store’s Facebook page.

A few days later, Moreno was about to go to bed when she got a message from her colleague, telling her that her ring had been found.

“This whole experience, it just really has restored my faith in humanity,” Moreno continued. “It makes you realize there are really good people out there that want to help."
