Khalidis opening up about his sexuality.
The “Talk” singer, 26, came out as gay in a series of tweets on X (formerly Twitter) Friday, Nov. 22.
He first posted a rainbow Emoji with a set of exclamation points andwrote, “there yall go. next topic please lol.”
“I am!” Khalidwrotein response. “And that’s okay.”
In a third tweet, the “Favorite Song” singer said he’s “not ashamed” about his sexuality after he says he was outed.
“I got outted [sic] and the world still continues to turn,“wroteKhalid. “Let’s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me 🖤 love yall.”
PEOPLE reached out to a rep for Khalid for comment.
In additional tweets, Khalid clarified that he was never “hiding” his sexuality.
Khalidreplied, “I wasn’t hiding anything! It’s just not any of your business.”

The Grammy-nominated singer echoed a similar sentiment when one fan said he released an “LGBTQ anthem” with his 2022 song “Satellite,” pointing out that Khalid “wasn’t ‘hiding’ his sexuality.”
“thank you!!!!” Khalidwrote, adding, “I was never hiding.”
In August, Khalid released his third studio album,Sincere.It debuted in the top 10 of Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart in its first week.
