Sister Wives' Christine Brown Sends Encouraging Message to Women Who Feel 'Trapped and Afraid': 'I've Been There'

Christine Brownis sending a positive message to any women who may be struggling.

On Monday, Sept. 2, theSister Wivesstar, 52, addressed fans in an “extra vulnerable” video shared onInstagram, telling women who feel “trapped, stuck, and afraid” that they are “not alone.”

Christine — who announced she wasending her spiritual marriage to Kody Brownin November 2021 after more than 25 years together — told the camera in the encouraging clip, “Hi, I see you, and I remember what it was like to be you. I remember knowing that I had to make changes and the life that I was living wasn’t what I had in mind and I knew the only person responsible to make those changes was myself."

“I didn’t even know how to make those changes, and I didn’t know what to do and I felt so lost and I realized that I was making my decisions based on fear,” she added.

The reality star shared, “And I’m gonna tell you straight up, it’s time to make your decisions based on joy. It’s time to make your decisions based on hope."

“There is hope. It’s a brighter future, it’s a brighter world. It is in your control. There are answers out there. Believe me. There are answers and I believe in you,” she added, telling followers, “I know there’s better things in store for you.”

“My gosh, I’ve been so blessed to be able to find a source of strength, and so grateful for that,” Christine said in the new Instagram video, before reiterating that there “is hope,” and that she believes in it “for you, for myself” and “all of us.”

“It’s there, right there in your grasp,” she said.

Christine — whoshares six kidswith Kody, a dad of 18 — wrote in the caption, “I’m speaking to the women out there who felt like I did — trapped, stuck, and afraid there was no way out.❤️ I want you to know you’re not alone. I’ve been there.”

“And I want to encourage you to find ways to choose joy, even when fear tells you to stay where you are. It’s not easy, but there is a path to happiness, and it’s worth every step. You deserve a life filled with love, peace, and joy — never settle for less. 💛 #ChooseJoy #EmpoweredWomen,” she concluded.

Kodyhas saidof their split that he “wasn’t in love” with Christine anymore and that he was “just glad that she was brave enough” to end their relationship. “As much as I tried to love her, it just wasn’t working all the time,” he said.

Christine’s latest post comes after she told PEOPLE in October of saying her “I dos” with David, “It’s a fairytale. It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true.”
