Benj Pasek and Justin Paulcertainly have something to sing about after the2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

The songwriters behindThe Greatest Showmanentered the EGOT club on Sunday, Sept. 8, winning an Emmy for best original music and lyrics for “Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It?" — theOnly Murders in the Buildingtune they composed alongsideMarc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

“It’s obviously thrilling and very wild to think about,” Paul told reporters after the win while praising Shaiman and Wittman, who gave the duo their first job in television as composers on season 2 ofSmash.

The duo, both 39, are the twentieth and twenty-first members of the illustrious EGOT list and the second to EGOT as a team, afterAndrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
