Out of style? More like out of tune.
Taylor Swiftrequired assistance on stage during a recent Eras Tour stop at Wembley Stadium in London after she prepared to perform “Champagne Problems” from her 2020 albumEvermoreand discovered that her piano was off key.
Inthe video, Swift can be seen playing a brief melody on her piano, before saying, “So,Folklorehas a sister album that I am very proud of and it is calledEvermore.” She paused and played a few more notes while the audience cheered.

Looking down, she said, “I need to… this is in the wrong key. I just need to get to the keyboard,” as she moved to open the lid of the musical instrument. “How do I get into here?” She asked into the microphone while moving her hands around the lid of the piano, which was artfully covered in decorative moss.
A stagehand in all black appeared on stage to assist Swift. “I just know this is in the wrong key,” she can be heard saying to him.
The singer cheered as the crew member quickly lifted the lid and made the proper adjustments. He closed the lid and she thanked him, before saying, “Alright, awesome!”
Moving on with the show, she told the audience, “It’s raining, isn’t that nice? I think when it rains for more than six minutes, we can officiallydeclare it a rain show. Rain shows are very, very special. Rain shows only chose a crowd that is fun enough to party and dance in the rain.”
Swift continued to proclaim, “Well, I’m very excited that now we get to sing ‘Champagne Problems’ in the rain, London!”

This isn’t the first time the “Fortnight” singer has suffered a piano malfunction on stage.
Earlier this summer, Swift’spiano was acting upduring thesecret song segmentof her concert after she began to perform a mashup ofReputation’s “Getaway Car” and “Out of the Woods” from1989.The singer could barely get past the opening lines when her piano malfunctioned. “We have finally broken this thing,” Swift told the crowd as she peeked beneath the piano’s lid.
The singer’s tour in London has pulled in a number of celebrity guests since its return to the city on Aug. 15, includingLena Dunham,Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz,Taylor Lautner and his wife,Malala YousafzaiandMeg Ryan.
