Adrien Brodyis bringing one of awards season’s buzziest — and lengthiest — movies to theaters.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, A24 released the trailer for its upcoming movieThe Brutalist, an epic mid-20th century story in which Brody, 51, portrays a European architect who moves to the United States after World War II and sets out to find work — and greatness — in a new country.

Brody, anOscarwinner for his leading role in 2003’sThe Pianist, costars in the film withFelicity Jones,Guy Pearce,Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin,Emma Laird, Isaach De Bankolé and Alessandro Nivola.

The Brutalistmade its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival in September and also played at the Toronto Film Festival and New York Film Festival this fall; the movie has gained significant attention for its lengthy runtime and mid-film intermission, and CorbetwonVenice’s Silver Lion award for best director at the Italian film festival. Alwyn, 33, and Laird, 26,shared photos from the movie’s productionon Instagram back in April 2023, shortly after the moviebegan filmingin Hungary.
