Charlotte “Bowie” Drozd, daughter ofThe Flaming Lipsdrummer Steven Drozd, has been found.
On Monday, Oct. 7, PEOPLE confirmed with the Seattle Police Department thatthe 16-year-old daughter of the band’s instrumentalist went missingon Saturday, Oct. 5 around 11:30 a.m. in Seattle near the Space Needle.
However, on Tuesday, Oct. 8, The Flaming Lips' frontmanWayne Coyne,posted to Instagramand revealed that Charlotte — whose nickname is Bowie — was “safe.”
“Yessssss❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️she’s found and is safe.. her mother has spoke with her.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️THANK YOU everyone for all your posts and all your networking and all your support and all your skills and all your trust and all your LOVE !!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” the “Do You Realize??” artist, 63, wrote alongside a “missing person” photo of Charlotte with the word “Found” layered on top.
The Seattle Police Department confirmed Charlotte was last seen on the monorail near the Space Needle in Seattle.
At the time, the Seattle Police Department confirmed that Charlotte was classified as a missing or runaway juvenile and a detective from the Missing Persons Unit was assigned to investigate her case.

Her father, 55, and Coyne announced that Charlotte had been missing since the weekend on social media Monday, Oct. 7.
“URGENT!!! Please help if you can !!! Steven’s daughter ( she is 16 years old ) is missing !!! She was last seen at the Space Needle early on Saturday….I’ll post more info as soon as I can❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏,” wrote Coyneon Instagram.
The “Bad Days” musician also added several hashtags, including “#BringBowieHome,” as well as “#flaminglips #theflaminglips #MissingPerson #MissingPersonSeattle #MissingInSeattle #MissingChild.”
In the comment section Steven replied, “Thank you Wayne for posting. We don’t know what to do ❤️."
