On Tuesday, Oct. 8, Searchlight Pictures released the latest trailer forA Complete Unknown, in which Chalamet, 28, portrays legendary folk-rock musician Dylan, 83, through his rise in New York City and transition to recording and performing music with an electric guitar at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

Chalamet wasfirst seenon the New York City set ofA Complete Unknownfor filming back in March and was later seen filming musical performances with Barbaro, 34, at Echo Lake Park, New Jersey in April. He was alsospotted on setspending time withElle Fanning, who also costars in the film, that same month.

Chalamet appeared to take on significant research in order to play the folk music legend; in January, hevisited Dylan’s high schoolin Hibbing, Minnesota, and spent time with the school’s drama students while staying in Dylan’s hometown.

A Complete Unknownis in theaters Dec. 25.
