Va. Mom, Boyfriend Charged with Murder of 2-Year-Old Who Died of Blunt Force Trauma

A Virginia mother and a 27-year-old man have been arrested and charged with felony murder in connection with the death of a 2-year-old child.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, at around 3 a.m. local time, police and emergency services responded to a call that a child was unresponsive in Petersburg, Va., the Petersburg Bureau of Police said in a statement onFacebook.

Dewese and Mason are both being held without bond. It is not immediately clear if either has retained an attorney or entered a plea.
