“A parade of planets occurs when we find many planets in our solar system aligned in one portion of the sky,” says PEOPLE’s resident astrologer, Kyle Thomas. “Sometimes this creates a stellium — a grouping of three or more planets in one zodiac sign — but this year’s ‘parade of planets’ won’t be one.”Thomas points out that several planets will be in the same zodiac sign during the event, including Mars and Jupiter inGeminiand Neptune and Saturn inPisces, which will make the energy of the event “especially prominent.”

“Mars and Jupiter are still very close in the sky (having been conjunct on Aug. 14), so their union of passion and desire can fuel us to our personal and professional goals,” Thomas says. “With Neptune and Saturn in Pisces (although not conjunct), we must blend our understanding of reality and imagination in ways that can truly aid us inmanifesting.”

Ultimately, Thomas says the parade of planets will be a great time for putting our goals into action. “We must open ourselves to new ideas and engage with people to expand our minds,” he says, adding, “communicating is the key to success.”Here’s how the parade of planets in August will affect each zodiac sign, according to Thomas’ readings.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

This time is all about connection,Aries. “Close friends could bring you insight on how you can release the past and grow from it,” Thomas says. “You will certainly feel a bit reflective at this time, but once you’ve taken some time to debate your strategies, you will be able to speak with confidence.”
