While talking to PEOPLE in November 2024, Jelly Roll called Bunnie XO “theperson you show up towhen the chips are down.” To keep their marriage strong while touring, the couple never goes more than two weeks without seeing each other.

She met Jelly Roll in 2015

Bunnie XO met her future husband while attending one of his concerts at Las Vegas’ Country Saloon in 2015.

While guest appearing on the comedy podcastKing and the Sting and the Wing Clips, Jelly Roll revealed that he and Bunnie XO talked backstage, but she was in a relationship at the time. The pair kept in touch via mutual friends, and when Bunnie XO became single not long after, their friendship quickly turned romantic.

“They split, and I’m not going to act like I shot my shot. She kind of shot hers,” Jelly Roll told the audio show’s hosts.

When Jelly Roll learned of Bunnie XO’s breakup and that she was interested in him, he told her of his upcoming plans to drive to Las Vegas and shoot music video content. According to the “Save Me” singer, Bunnie XO offered to let him crash at her place, and the rest is history.

“It’s a white trash love story,” Jelly Roll joked, explaining that he was “broke” and living in his van at the time. “When I hugged her, I could just feel the genuineness of her. I could tell it wasn’t an act.”

After a year of dating in 2016, Jelly Roll proposed to Bunnie XO while onstage at a Yelawolf and Deftones concert in Las Vegas.

Despite their love, Jelly Roll said that people have had their doubts about him and Bunnie XO over the years.

“We stuck it out. We were like the story nobody thought of. She’s my best friend, man. She really is,” he said.

In 2024, Jelly Roll told PEOPLE, “I prioritize family and that’s what anchors me down. My world shrunk when I focused on one woman.”

On Aug. 31, 2023, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO renewed their wedding vows at the Las Vegas chapel where they tied the knot in 2016.

The podcaster shared a video of the ceremony on Instagram, which showed the couple smiling and kissing at the alter. Bunnie XO wore a form-fitting white gown, while Jelly Roll chose a black and maroon suit.

She is a stepmom

When Bunnie XO married Jelly Roll in 2016, she also became a stepmother to the country music singer’s daughter from a previous relationship. Jelly Roll also has a son, Noah.

On an episode of theDumb Blondepodcast, Bunnie XO opened up about her relationship with her stepdaughter and Bailee’s biological mother, Felicia. Bunnie XO also revealed how she helped Jelly Roll get custody of Bailee in 2017.

Jelly Roll has been outspoken on social media about Bunnie XO’s involvement in his daughter’s life. In a May 2020 Facebook post, he wrote of Bunnie XO and Bailee’s “beautiful mother-daughter bond,” noting that “it takes a special kind of woman to raise a kid that isn’t her child and still treat the child as if she was.”

In 2022, Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll walked their first red carpet together at the 56th annual CMA Awards at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

A year later, the couple attended the2023 CMA Awards, where Jelly Roll won new artist of the year.

“I got a thousand people to thank, but most importantly, my Lord and my wife,” the singer said during his acceptance speech. “I love you so much.You changed my life.”

When it comes to fostering a deep connection, Jelly Roll truly believes that communication is key. The “Son of a Sinner” vocalist shared that he and Bunnie XO “prioritize communication” and don’t back away from discussing tough topics.

“Somebody asked me what’s the secret to our marriage the other day. I didn’t even have to think about — it’s simple — we are comfortable having uncomfortable conversations,” he saidon Instagramin 2020. “We have learn to laugh at the small s— , and above everything we don’t take anything to seriously.”

Of his wife, Jelly Roll added, “This woman is my backbone in life, she’s beautiful, smart, witty, and you wouldn’t believe how silly she really is.”

While on their way to the CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas, in April 2024, Jelly Roll and Bunny XO’s private jet had to make an emergency landing after experiencing technical issues.

In aTikTok videothat Bunnie XO shared on TikTok after they were on the ground, Jelly Roll said that the plane experienced “an issue with the computer.”

In June 2024, the couple announced that they’re planning toexpand their familyvia in vitro fertilization.

“We had planned on doing this privately, but decided our ivf journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open,” Bunnie XO wrote on Instagram. “And w/all odds stacked against us, it’s always been hard & we have only just begun.”

When Bunnie XO made a cameo in Jelly Roll andMachine Gun Kelly’s music video for “Loney Road,” the couple drew from real-life circumstances and portrayed a couple struggling with infertility.

She was misdiagnosed with an aneurysm in 2024

“I cried for three days,” Bunnie XO said. “And I can’t sleep. I haven’t slept. I’m sweating so bad. I have diarrhea. I’m just, like, so freaked out and stressed out.”

Fortunately, after seeing a neurologist and a vascular surgeon, Bunnie XO learned she didn’t have an aneurysm at all.

“He said, ‘It’s a blood vessel that matches on the other side of your carotid artery on the other end.’ And he said, ‘This was just one of these things where I get to deliver good news. If you wanna go play tackle football, you can,' " she recalled.

Bunnie XO elaborated that the experience helped her “appreciate life” more.

“Family and the people that you love and the people that you surround yourself with every day is all that f—— matters, dude,” she said. “I snuggled up so much to my husband these past few days.”
