If I’m going to the beach, I am going to be in a two-piece. There’s so much time in life caring about what other people think. And I’ve learned to love myself a lot through my fans and them being like, ‘We love who you are.’ And so why would I be anything but me?“It’s this circle of love that Block infuses in many a song she sings, including the brand-new acoustic version of her hot summer single “Good on You,” which she serves as a co-writer on. “I try to write songs from where I’m at in my life,” explains Block. “I’ve been writing a lot of love songs lately.“She smiles big, once again shining a bit of a spotlight on the mystery man that has seemingly kept her super happy these days. “This life is really crazy, and I try every single day to surround myself with people that just lift me up and make me feel good,” she says. “I like being around people that just get me.“Priscilla Block.Britton WebbBut as Block finds herself sitting on the edge of turning 30 years old, she says that this is also a time of evolution for her both professionally and personally.“Fans are going to see a different side of me that they haven’t seen,” concludes the vocal powerhouse. “I think they’ve already started kind of seeing it a little bit. It’s been three years since I put out an album, and so a lot in my life has happened in three years that I am so excited to share with everybody. And I’ve been writing for this album foryears. I’m really excited to share the story of my life over the past three years.“And yes, there are going to be love songs on there — but not too many.“I’ll still be writing breakup songs when I’m happily married and with children,” she jokes, laughing. “Here’s the deal: People love to love you and they love to hate you, so I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing, and the chips will fall where they may.”
