A woman wants to know who’s in the wrong after she and some others left their friend behind when the woman was more than an hour late to a birthday party.

In a post shared onReddit, the woman writes that her friend “Sarah” is chronically late.

“I’m talking, ‘we tell her to be there at 6 knowing she’ll show up at 7’ kind of late.' The rest of us have learned to tolerate it, but last Saturday pushed things too far,” she writes.

And while Sarah “swore she’d be there on time.” she wasn’t.

“7 rolls around, and Sarah is still nowhere to be found. We texted and called, and she just kept saying, ‘I’m almost there!’ " the woman adds.

After waiting for over an hour, the group ultimately decided we leave.

“I texted her that we were leaving and she’d have to find her own way to meet us if she still wanted to join. Well, she showed up about 10 minutes later and was FURIOUS that we’d left,” the poster writes. “She called me selfish, said I ‘ditched’ her, and made the entire night all about her being ‘abandoned.’ "

Now, the woman writes that their friend group “is split over whether I was justified or a total jerk.”

“Half the friend group says I did the right thing, while the others think I was way too harsh and should’ve waited since I ‘know how she is,’ " she writes. “But it was everyone’s night, not just hers, and I feel like it was fair after all the waiting.”

Commenters have argued that the poster and her friends have been “enabling” the woman who is often late, with one writing, “Chronically late girl needs some consequences for her shitty selfish actions, which includes paying you all the money wasted for 90 minutes waiting for her ass and EVERYBODY needs. to. stop. letting. this. happen. This is absolutely insane.”

Other Reddit users agreed.

“It really infuriates me just reading about someone being so self centered that they would expect others to wait even 30 minutes under normal circumstances. Holding up a party bus for this long is just OUTRAGEOUS,” wrote another.
