There may be another chapter coming in theYellowstonesaga.

Negotiations are reportedly underway for a sixth season of the modern-day Western nearly four months after it was confirmed that the Paramount Network series would conclude with the second half of season 5, which will air in November, according toDeadlineandPuck, which was first to report the news.

The outlets report Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) and Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) are in talks to lead the new season of the Taylor Sheridan series following the departure ofKevin Costner, whoconfirmed in June that he will not be returning for the rest of season 5followingrumors of his exit.

Yellowstonepremiered on the Paramount Network in 2018 and is now available to stream on Peacock.

The series tells the story of the Dutton family, who have owned and operated America’s largest ranch for six generations. Viewers see how turmoil and local enemies threaten the ranch’s success. Additionally, the personal lives of the Dutton brood are also explored.

News of the potential sixth season of the hit series comes one day after Paramount confirmedMatthew Foxwillleadthe upcomingYellowstonespinoff,The Madison, alongsideMichelle Pfeiffer.

The Madisonis set to follow a New York City family living in the Madison River valley of central Montana, and is a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection,” per the release.

The Madisonis the seventh spinoff from theKevin Costner-led series.

The first spinoff,1883, was a prequel series starringFaith HillandTim McGrawas the Dutton family’s 19th-century ancestors, James and Margaret Dutton, on their journey from Texas to Montana through the Great Plains.

Lawmen: Bass Reevesis a limited series that merged with1883and will starDavid Oyelowoas the titular iconic lawman. It debuted last fall on Paramount+.

1923is another prequel series from Taylor Sheridan, which sawHelen MirrenandHarrison Fordstar as Cara Dutton and Jacob Dutton and chronicled the family’s trek to Montana. It originally premiered in 2022, and was laterrenewed for a second season, with both Mirren and Ford confirmed to return.

There are several other spinoffs that have been confirmed but few details are available, including6666, pronounced “Four Sixes,” aMatthew McConaughey-led spinoff thatwas confirmed to be “moving forward” in April 2023and1944, another prequel series that would tell the story of the Dutton family in that year.
