Young Sheldon's Montana Jordan Says Fatherhood Is ‘Great’: 'Nothing Better Than Being a Dad’ (Exclusive)

Montana Jordanis loving being a dad.

“It’s been great for me, man. There’s nothing better.” Jordan, who played Georgie Cooper on the popular series, tells PEOPLE. “She’s 4 months old now and I’ve got two little nieces, a five-year-old niece and a two-year-old niece. So I’ve been around kids and I’ve always loved them, but I can give my nieces back.”

“I can’t give mine back. I’m stuck with her,” he jokes. “I’m just kidding. No, but she’s great, man. There’s nothing better than freaking being a dad. There’s nothing better, for sure.”

As for what his new addition has taught him since she arrived, Jordan adds, “To be patient. To be patient. yeah.”

Since then, the star has been documenting his daughter’s first few months on his social media, including when she joined him on the set of his upcomingYoung SheldonspinoffGeorgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.

Opening up to PEOPLE about what fans can expect from the new show, Jordan says, “I mean, coming intoGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, you can kind of tell what it’s going to be about from the characters ofYoung Sheldon, but we’re going to continue that storyline and you get to see all the fights and all the ups and downs of everything.”

“And just likeYoung Sheldonwas relatable, we’re hoping this is going to be just as relatable and that’s going to drag everybody into watching it,” he adds.
